Attorney General Kris W. Kobach

Kris Kobach was sworn into office as the 44th Kansas Attorney General in 2023. He served as the 31st Kansas Secretary of State, 2011-2019. He lives near Lecompton with his wife, Heather, and their five daughters.

Concealed Carry

In 2006 the Kansas Legislature passed the Personal and Family Protection Act. Since July 2006, more than 138,000 Kansans have applied for concealed carry licenses. The first licenses were issued on January 3, 2007.
